Terms of service
Last updated: January 23, 2026 | Effective date: January 30, 2026
Please read these terms carefully before using Dosel
By downloading, installing, or using Dosel (“App,” “Software,” “Service”), you agree to be bound by these terms of service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of terms
1.1 Agreement to terms
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and Dosel (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding your use of the app.
1.2 Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date, notify you via email or in-app notification, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms. You may terminate your account if you disagree with changes.
2. Description of service
2.1 What Dosel does
Dosel is a desktop application that provides AI-powered automation for changing passwords across multiple websites. The app:
- Uses browser automation technology
- Employs large language models (LLMs) to navigate websites
- Processes all password operations locally on your device
- Does not store your passwords
- Does not transmit passwords over the internet
- Imports and exports password data via CSV files
2.2 What Dosel is not
The app is not:
- A password manager or vault (does not store passwords)
- A password generator (relies on your password manager for this)
- A guarantee of successful password changes
- A replacement for manual password management
- Responsible for website changes or compatibility issues
2.3 AI-specific terms
AI output accuracy
The app uses artificial intelligence to automate browser interactions. AI systems may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected results. You acknowledge that:
- AI-driven automation may not always behave as expected
- The app may fail to complete password changes on certain websites
- AI outputs and actions should be verified by you
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-driven operations
AI output ownership: Subject to your compliance with these terms, any actions performed by the AI on your behalf and any resulting data or reports generated by the app belong to you. We do not claim ownership of the outputs or results of AI operations performed for you.
No training on your data
We do not use your passwords, account information, prompts, or any data processed by the app to train, improve, or develop AI models. Your data is processed only to perform the requested password change operations, not used for machine learning training purposes, not shared with AI providers for training purposes, and subject to our privacy policy regarding data handling.
Third-party AI providers: The app utilizes third-party AI services. These providers do not receive your actual passwords (which are redacted before transmission), may receive website URLs and navigation instructions, are subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies, and may change, become unavailable, or modify their services without notice to us.
3. Account registration and eligibility

- Once free tier credits are exhausted, you must upgrade to a paid subscription to continue using the app
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free tier at any time

4.4 Refund policy
30-day money-back guarantee: New subscribers may request a full refund within 30 days of first payment. Refund must be requested via email to hello@dosel.app. After 30 days, all payments are non-refundable. Free tier users and accounts terminated for terms violations are not eligible for refunds.

You may use Dosel to change passwords for your own online accounts, automate password updates for accounts you own or are authorized to manage, and export password change reports for your records.

Data management: You are responsible for backing up your password data before using the app, verifying that password changes were successful, maintaining access to your accounts (email, 2FA, recovery methods), and keeping your password manager updated with new passwords.
6.2 High-risk accounts
Use caution with critical accounts including:
- Banking and financial institutions
- Healthcare portals
- Government services
- Primary email accounts
- Employer/work accounts
We recommend testing the app on low-risk accounts first, manually verifying changes to critical accounts, having account recovery methods in place, and excluding high-risk accounts from bulk operations.
7. Disclaimers and limitations of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, including:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
7.2 No guarantee of success
We do not guarantee that password changes will be successful on all websites, the app will be compatible with all websites or browsers, websites will not change their interfaces or authentication methods, or third-party services will remain available.
7.3 Limitation of liability
Excluded damages: We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or revenue, loss of data or passwords, loss of access to accounts, account lockouts or suspensions, business interruption, or reputational harm.

8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dosel, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use or misuse of the app, your violation of these terms, your violation of third-party rights or website terms of service, your violation of applicable laws or regulations, your account credentials being compromised, and any unauthorized use of your account.

9.3 Open source components
The app incorporates open-source software components licensed under various open-source licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, etc.). Your use of these components is governed by their respective licenses.
10. Privacy and data protection
Your use of the app is also governed by our privacy policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. We explicitly do not store, log, or transmit your passwords. All password operations occur locally on your device.
11. Dispute resolution
11.1 Informal resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at hello@dosel.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will do the same if we have a dispute with you.
11.2 Binding arbitration
If informal resolution fails, you agree that disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except for small claims court disputes (under $10,000), intellectual property disputes, and injunctive relief requests. Arbitration is governed by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules and conducted in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.
11.3 Class action waiver

11.4 Opt-out of arbitration
You may opt out of arbitration by emailing us at hello@dosel.app within 30 days of first accepting these terms. Opt-out means disputes will be resolved in court.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction

13.1 Termination by you
You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription in account settings, emailing us at hello@dosel.app, or uninstalling the app (note: uninstalling does not cancel subscription).
